Amazon Seller Central now runs your Walmart and Shopify orders

Amazon opened Seller Central to eBay, Shopify, TikTok and Walmart orders at no extra cost. Convenient multichannel selling - and your competitor now sees the whole board.

Amazon will now manage the sales you make on Walmart. At its Accelerate seller conference on September 24, Amazon announced multichannel selling tools that pull orders and listings from eBay, Shopify, TikTok and Walmart into Seller Central, free, rolling out to US sellers over the coming months. It is a genuinely useful feature. It is also the clearest data-leverage play in commerce this year.

What actually happened

Per Amazon's own announcement and GeekWire:

  • Four channels at launch: eBay, Shopify, TikTok and Walmart, with more promised. Amazon says the rollout is gradual, US-only for now, and at no additional cost.
  • What works today: connect your accounts on those platforms, import and link off-Amazon listings, see multichannel orders in one view, and fulfill across channels in a few clicks — including sending orders into Amazon's logistics network.
  • What is coming: AI-generated channel-ready listing content with formatting that updates across every connected platform; a unified order dashboard with one-click fulfillment; and a real-time profitability view that consolidates ad spend, traffic and sales by product and channel.
  • The pitch is time. Amazon quotes seller Pamela Lee of Elizabeth Mott: a three-person reporting team spending about five hours a month, now replaced by one view.
  • Walmart is the tell. Amazon is inviting merchants to run a direct retail rival's sales from inside Amazon's software.

Why a free dashboard matters for your business

Read the trade carefully. You get five hours a month back. Amazon gets your Walmart sell-through rate, your Shopify margin, your TikTok conversion curve, and your unit economics on every channel it does not own — at the SKU level, in real time, from you, voluntarily.

That is not a conspiracy claim. It is what the feature does. And the "coming soon" list is where it bites: once listing content is generated on Amazon's side and pushed outward, and once fulfillment routes through Amazon by default, your presence on other channels is operationally a branch of your Amazon account. The cheapest way to lose channel independence is to accept a free tool that makes one channel the hub.

None of that means refuse it. Five hours a month is real money at your size, and Amazon is already the biggest line in most sellers' revenue. It means know what you are trading and keep a way out. Practical version: keep your own order and margin data in a system you control — a warehouse, a sheet, anything with an export — so your profitability view is not a screen you can be logged out of. Keep at least one channel's listings authored outside Seller Central. And if the ops savings are the real goal, a middleware layer you own does the same consolidation without handing any single marketplace the full picture.

Convenience always has a price. Here the price is denominated in visibility, and you are the one paying it.

Key takeaways

  • Amazon announced multichannel selling tools at Accelerate on September 24, 2026 - eBay, Shopify, TikTok and Walmart
  • Available now: account linking, listing import, consolidated order view, cross-channel fulfillment
  • Coming later: AI-generated listing content, unified order dashboard, real-time per-channel profitability
  • Free, gradual rollout to US sellers; more channels promised
  • The cost is data - Amazon gains SKU-level economics for the channels it does not own
  • Keep your own order and margin export, and author at least one channel's listings outside Seller Central

We build the middle layer you own. Order sync, margin reporting, and listing pipelines that run across marketplaces without making any one of them your system of record. See how we build commerce integrations, or price out what those reporting hours are costing you.
