nCino + Parlay: AI SBA loan intake comes to 1,400 lenders

nCino will resell Parlay's AI SBA loan intake to banks. If you plan to borrow, an AI now screens your file first. Here's how to make it credit-ready.

The next time you apply for an SBA loan, an AI may read your file before a banker does. Parlay, which makes an AI intake system for SBA and small-business lending, announced a partnership with nCino this morning. nCino's loan software runs at more than 2,700 financial institutions. Now it will resell Parlay's AI SBA loan intake to them. The question for operators is simple: is your paperwork ready for a machine to screen it?

What actually happened

Per the joint announcement on Business Wire:

  • Parlay's Loan Intelligence System now connects directly to nCino's commercial and small-business lending products. The integration is already live.
  • Parlay handles intake, eligibility checks and deal structuring before a banker opens the file, then hands it to nCino in one click.
  • The integration has processed more than $500 million in SBA loan inquiries in 2026.
  • Parlay says its customers cut the manual work to reach a credit-ready file by up to 80%. That is the company's own number, not an audited one.
  • nCino will resell and support Parlay for SBA-focused lenders. Parlay will still sell direct to the rest of the market.

The target is the roughly 1,400 SBA lenders in the US, including community banks and credit unions that want to start an SBA program without hiring a back office first. First Internet Bank is named as a current Parlay customer.

Why it matters for your business

The first reviewer is software. Eligibility and deal structure get checked before a human loan officer sees anything. A missing tax return or a P&L that does not tie to your bank statements used to mean a phone call. Now it can mean a slower queue, or a file that waits for a fix.

Faster for clean files. The pitch is speed for creditworthy borrowers who do not fit a bank's standard box. That is a lot of small businesses: seasonal revenue, a recent owner change, real estate mixed with operations. If your numbers are clean, AI intake should help you.

Get credit-ready now, not when you need the money:

  1. Close your books monthly. Make sure the P&L, balance sheet and bank statements agree.
  2. Keep three years of business and personal tax returns in one folder, as PDFs that a machine can read.
  3. Write a one-page use-of-funds summary with real numbers.
  4. Clean up your debt schedule: lender, balance, payment, maturity.
  5. Ask your bank whether it uses an AI intake tool, and what it checks first.

Key takeaways

  • nCino will resell Parlay's AI SBA loan intake to its lender customers; the integration is live
  • Parlay checks eligibility and structures the deal before a banker opens the file
  • Over $500M in SBA loan inquiries ran through the integration in 2026
  • The "up to 80% less manual work" figure is Parlay's own claim
  • Clean monthly books and machine-readable documents now decide how fast your file moves
